One on One Private Yoga Classes in the Yarra Valley

Private one on one yoga classes are perfect

for one on one time with a yoga teacher

to get that personal tuition for your level and health.  

A private session also means you get private instructions

on proper alignment, you can also go over the basics,

or work at more complex yoga poses in order to 

improve your practice at a slower pace.  

Sessions available from 60 mins to 90 mins.

Skype private yoga sessions are also available.

Melissa has been part of the team at Kundalini House in North Fitzroy

teaching Hatha Yoga for the past 8 years ,

Melissa has also taught two Hatha Yoga classes per week at at the RACV Country Club in Healesville for the last 7 years, and has also taught 6 classes per week at The Healesville Yoga Studio for 5 years. 

Melissa has worked for various one-off private events,

corporate Yoga events and schools including;

Toorak Saint Catherine's Girl's School wellbeing program and Yr 10 camp,

Tarrawarra Art Museum Yoga project,Converse Australia wellbeing program,

Commonwealth Bank camaraderie program, Vibe Hotel Marysville and many more.

Melissa Artemis Shemanna: Yoga Bio

Melissa has a way of bringing students into the stillness within, like an envelope of calm in the room where one can relate to their inner peaceful nature. A very nurturing and friendly presence, Melissa leads by example with her way of teaching that encourages all who grace the space to delve into their own wisdom and compassion and to explore a range of Yogic practice and philosophy.

Her classes can range from supportive and constructive beginners Hatha Yoga, to a more dynamic (but not too fast-paced!) Vinyasa practice that she calls;

SoulNectar Flow. 


Yogic Breath work, Pranayama; is a central aspect of Melissa's offering, focusing on the breath in each class and each posture. A range of pranayama exercises are taught to the students, which directly helps the nervous system, brain waves and is a powerful tonic for one's overall state of being. 

Growing up with learning Kriya Yoga/breathwork/mediation practice and philosophy from an early age, this provided a deep experience that was embedded into the fabric of her being. Melissa completed her 1000Hrs Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teaching with The Australian Yoga Academy in 2011.

Over her life, she has sought out and learned from the lineages of various Yoga and Tantric traditions including; Iyengar Yoga, Kriya Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Satyananda Yoga, ParaTan Mantra and Nada yoga/Tantra, KaliMa Tantra, Rigpa/Mahayana/Vajrayana Buddhist teachings and meditation training.
